My latest for @CanucksArmy Jonathan Lekkerimäki is primed for his first full season in North America. But will it be in the AHL or NHL? I broke down his end-of-season AHL and SHL tape, examined Tocchet's demands for roster players & applied that lens.

Lekkerimäki, Bains, and Räty were dominant despite not scoring. Here is a mixtape of their night. Räty's playmaking and hard skill were the catalysts of the line. Lekkerimäki was flashy and found soft ice consistently. Bains hunted the slot and was a great connector. #Canucks

Watching Vasily Podkolzin & I can't help but laugh at how hard he plays. First, he fights through clear interference & crashes into the end wall. Then he fights off a much bigger defender at the net front. To finish it off, he drives the puck carrier to the sideboards. #Canucks

Tom Willander has firmly set foot in the NCAA. Where is he succeeding? Where does he need to make adjustments? I watched and clipped all his games this season to find out: What to make of #Canucks prospect Tom Willander's NCAA start

Jonathan Lekkerimäki scored his second of the game! He supports Östlund's carry around the boards, is left unchecked, and hammers a puck off his heels. 6th goal of the tournament -- tied for the lead. #Canucks 📷 🎥 @TSN_Sports

This is #Canucks prospect Vasily Podkolzin in his first VHL game on September 16th. Podkolzin's ice time skyrocketed hitting 19:38. He continued to play relentless and had 4 shots in the game. Podkolzin was deployed on the PP and PK in the game. Two parts for today: Part 1/2 👇

Elias Pettersson's (D) suffocating defensive game in transition blends high-end skating, stick work, guiding, and physicality to kill opponent possessions. Also: How he defends sustained pressure, his retrieval habits, and his transition game 👇

Jonathan Lekkerimäki ends game four of the playoffs with 4 assists. He now has 13 points in 12 games these playoffs (4G - 9A). A big performance for the 18-year-old who has found his game in the postseason. He only scored 9P in the entire regular season before inj. #Canucks

#Canucks Tom Willander records his second assist of the game, again off a breakout pass. After working past pressure, he finds Macklin Celebrini (who does an incredible job on the pass reception), and it leads to a Quinn Hutson goal. Willander now has 5 points in 9 games.

Akito Hirose is showing so well. That decision to join the rush was very smart — placing the puck into empty space was as well. No panic on retrievals, snapping breakouts in-motion. So much to like about his game and his hockey sense in particular. #Canucks

After a quiet first period, Jonathan Lekkerimäki nearly wires an outside shot of a Räty pass. Watch how he pivots proactively so he can release off the pass. #Canucks

Finally, here is @Canucks prospect Nils Hoglander playing against the Czech Republic. The biggest thing to take away from Hoglander's game is his confidence with the puck, his controlled zone entries, and his playmaking ability. Hoglander is just fun to watch.

#Canucks Kirill Kudryavtsev is just so smooth on his retrievals. First, he scans the path of Matthew Poitras (BOS). Then he manipulates with his feet. Poitras (who is an incredible forechecker) doesn't bite as hard as most, but Kudryavtsev still escapes off his backhand.

This was the first regular season game for #Canucks prospect Olli Juolevi after being shut down last year due to a surgery that repaired a tear in his knee meniscus. He recorded 1A. Lots of breakout passes and simple plays made. Some intelligent reads breaking up chances. P1

Jonah Gadjovich is a net-front maestro who has expanded his game through added mobility. With 15 goals in 19GP in the AHL and a recent call up, he has taken a legitimate step forward. The surprising details of his game and more on @EPRinkside #Canucks

Look how evasive Willander is in transition. Manipulates on retrievals, punch turns, weight-shifts -- he's so deceptive on-puck. #Canucks

A first look at #Canucks Tom Willander in BU threads. Unless something has changed, he will have to miss the first game of the season because of his short SHL stint last season.

Lekkerimäki records the primary assist in OT. After just missing glove side on a centering pass, he keeps pressure on Svozil, eventually sending in Jansson to capture SWE the win. #Canucks 📹 @TSN_Sports

Lekkerimäki has been quiet again but this shift has been his best of the game (so far) against CZE. Finds a seam to a downhill attacking teammate, acts as a net-front decoy (stick not set though), and a tricky high slot shot that creates a big rebound. #Canucks 📹 @TSN_Sports

Tom Willander scored a goal and a primary assist in his first NCAA game. In a rather chaotic game, he wasn’t on the ice for a goal against. Look, sample sizes certainly matter, but he showed well, running shotgun with Aiden Celebrini. #Canucks More:
