I’m just going to say it: I don’t give a damn what the founders intended. They’ve all been dead for 200 years. This is no longer their country. It’s ours. And their intentions weren’t infallible. They intended to keep slavery and reward slave states with the 3/5ths compromise.

The 2024 Democratic ticket is going to be Biden-Harris. I don’t care whether you have some other favorite you want to see in either position. It’s not happening. Stop being ridiculous.

We moderate Democrats have often chastised progressives for not uniting behind the primary winner, thereby allowing Republicans to win. When it comes to #PASen this November, let’s not be what we have spent six years (rightly) criticizing. Gulp hard and vote blue no matter who.

Biden's message of shared sacrifice today is exactly right and a great way to lead by example.

One of the themes I keep returning to here on Twitter is that Republican voters are not “brainwashed.” If we are ever going to understand how to defeat them, we first have to understand who they really are; that they have agency; and that they chose to believe what they believe.

@BlakeWriting While we Democrats sit back and wait for our accomplishments to speak for themselves, Republicans are out there claiming credit for OUR accomplishments WHICH THEY VOTED AGAINST. And we’re not even pushing back on that!

@FrankMikeDavis1 Because a majority of Texas voters would rather saw off their own arm than vote for a Democrat.

@ask_aubry This is the kind of guy who needs to be carefully watched for signs of being a shooter. People like this guy are exactly the type who would go shoot up their workplace or a street fair.

I can’t with this guy. How long do Democrats in the blue states have to be told that we need to take a back seat to “the real America?”

@seskoog Not all. Some Trump voters just want the tax cuts. But yes, a very large bloc of Trump voters—undoubtedly the majority of them—believes these things wholeheartedly.

@JoJoFromJerz The bottom line is that there are tens of millions of Americans who don’t care that they are electing clowns as long as the clowns will give them satisfaction by sticking it to the people they hate—even if just rhetorically.

What is this I’m seeing today about Biden being “personally pro-life?” I’m trying really hard to be OK with Biden, because if nothing else, I like the fact that he is suffocating Bernie. But every time I feel like I’m getting there, Biden opens his mouth and says something dumb.

A lot of people really want to believe that their mom and dad or their beloved aunt or sister were just fine until Fox News brainwashed them. But Fox couldn’t have influenced them if they weren’t predisposed that way to begin with. Who watches Fox if they aren’t already “got”?
