People being elitist about bass music has always been so funny to me. Like this shit is objectively weird or uncool to a majority of people in the world. Y'all are literally talking about which weird fart sounds are better. Chill out and enjoy yourself lmao
What is up Twitter, just popping in to let you know I dropped a 30 min unreleased mix today. Go check it out if you wanna know what I've been working on lately :)
Man Daily Bread at red rocks is so sick to me. The dude’s come up has really been all art, no gimmicks so seeing him succeed at such a high level after keeping his head down for so long is real inspiring. Proud of you

I love my producer homies but straight up this music isn’t made to impress you. I want to make music for my 18 year old self blown tf away discovering all of this shit.. or that one kid in the crowd having the time of their life
The rise of dubstep/140 culture in the US is stifling more dramatic innovation in bass music as a whole. There’s a lot of pressure to imitate or rehash music from 10-15 years ago to be cool, instead of pushing forward and trying new things 🤷♂️ (1/2)
Ayo just throwing it out there I’m super down to do something like this in Denver for free if a promoter/venue wants to set something up. I’m sure there are many other artists out here who would run it as well

Having an addictive personality can be a superpower. If you cling on to anything that gives you dopamine like I do, it might be surprisingly easy for you to get addicted to something positive like exercise or ableton :)
That
@OfTheTrees
set last night was something special. CDJs were cool for a min but Ableton sets (especially with A/V routing) have got to be the future for this scene. Especially when u can still use the DJM 🤯
Can’t wait to see how far this goes
After listening through 30+ hours of music, I’m stoked to announce SNITH will be playing the opening set at Cervantes 3/30.
Honestly, this was a really tough call, and I’m glad to have discovered so much talent running this competition :) Full flyer & VJ coming soon
I was so nervous before mission last night, but as soon as I got on stage I got hit with the “oh shit I forgot how fuckin fun this is” and had a blast. Massive love to
@Inzo_Music
for having me, excellent night through and through
@grooovynor
Honestly. And it doesn’t mean their sets are prerecorded either- the visual team can use ShowKontrol or a host of other tools to see what song is coming next, so they can absolutely still improvise while timecoding
I’ve listened to this through 4 times now. Dude I wish I could speak to you personally and tell you how each song made me feel. This is some of best music I’ve heard all year. Its like you reached inside my mind and pulled out everything I’ve ever wanted. Thank you. So much.
This is fake but here is an easy workaround:
-create new midi track
-insert a midi clip spanning the length of time you want to freeze
-add a compressor, map sidechain input from the group
-click the lil blue headphone button on compressor
-freeze & flatten
Some of my favorite artists remixed my album 'Microworlds' and they did such an incredible job!!! Super stoked for the release this Friday!! 💜🔬🌎

This is an
@TheUntzFestival
appreciation tweet. The amount of love and intention behind this event made it go off without a hitch! Amazing reminder that there is nothing that makes me happier than watching all my friends crush shit.
@dirtmonkeymusic
I agree so heavily with the second half of this, but nah dude it isn’t totally fine, it’s lying and taking focus away from the music part of what we do which should be the most important thing
Leaving for Envision in 8 hours, man I couldn’t be more excited for this. Gonna spend all day putting the set together- homies send music, all vibes welcome
@raddershouse
Hahahaha this is my tune. It’s unreleased but I’ll drop a link so y’all can debate
Don’t condone the caption, but I do think there are elements which set it apart from og dubstep for sure
DENVER COLORADO, WE ARE COMING TO THE OGDEN THEATRE ON SEP 16 WITH SOME REALLY TALENTED HOMIES FOR OUR BIGGEST HEADLINE SHOW! SIGN UP AT THE LINK TO GET THE PRE-SALE LINK AN HOUR BEFORE WE POST ON SOCIALS. FEELS UNREAL & WE ARE JUST THANKFUL TO BE HERE❤️
If anyone feels comfortable letting me know privately who these people are, just know I will break any association with them without revealing any details or outing.
It breaks my heart to think some of my friends are committing these acts, but it’s statistically likely they are
It’s really infuriating to see that there are some narcissistic DJs out here trying to come off as being ‘wholesome’. SA is horrible. And so is being a narcissist and faking to come off as a supporter to victims, when your literally it, yourself. 🤬
Couldn’t be more excited for this! Huge thank you to
@CloZeeOfficial
for having me out, meow wolf has been a huge goal for me. Don’t miss that Quark set either :)
Denver! I am honored to be a part of the

If you’re my homie, please don’t feel stressed about making it to my shows. The love is there regardless- you don’t need to be a fan to be my friend :)
Does anyone understand how replacing a file effects Soundcloud's algorithm?
It would be interesting to have for example a mix pinned to the top that is updated every month or two to showcase work I may or may not release.
@dirtmonkeymusic
@eazybaked
I will say ghost producing is probably less shitty than being ghost produced. I think if you have love for the genre you create though, you should have the integrity to be original and promote originality. The bass scene is special because we care about this shit..

Synplant is absolutely groundbreaking. The ability to resynthesize audio using AI is something I thought we would have to wait years for, and it’s already here. The potential applications for this are endless
@kushandsushi
Yeah fair enough you’re allowed to have preferences. That said, the “good luck to everyone else” is pretty much the issue I’m talking about. It’s not a competition really, theres space for plenty of people to be successful in this pocket. All love of course regardless
Good morning! I'm dropping merch today- extremely limited presale running until Thursday night. We have beanies, hoodies, tees, and some fire pendants made by

It’s the 6th edition. Shades is headlining. We have a

takeover. And it all happens under a Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse.
Pretty metal for a bass music festival 🤘🌑
The solution to this is slightly lower flat fees for artists plus tiered bonuses based on ticket sales imo. If the promoter makes money, you make more- if not they lose less & everyone is still potentially aight
promoters are going into debt so often, and i feel like it’s partly because of this overcharging, flat-fee structure we’re in. As an artist would you accept a profit-share agreement as payment for a show?
@dirtmonkeymusic
@eazybaked
Here’s the thing, it is harming others though. Think about the stereotypes a lot of women face coming up, many of those are propagated directly from this happening. It’s also really discouraging for anyone trying to make a name for themselves from original music
I really appreciate people who use words creatively. Like outside of just having a large vocabulary, using the “wrong” word to express something in a unique way can be so effective.
Big parallels to composing music and the creative process in general as well.
I’d like to add that many of my favorite sets this year have been 140, and I have a ton of respect for the subtleties of the genre and where people are advancing it- I just don’t think people need to feel pressure to box themselves in.
