Things to keep in mind ⁃Not all pitches need a high spin efficiency. ⁃For example, Sliders usually sit at around 35% spin efficiency. But can get as low as > 10% on gyro sliders. Cutters on the other hand are anywhere from 45% - 65% 8/11

Gyro Spin (Rifle Spin) No, not a Greek sandwich that spins. - Gyro Spin is essentially a pitch thrown w/ bullet spin (think football spiral) and decrease the Magnus Effect on the ball. - Gravity (Not Magnus Effect) plays a huge role in the movement of a gyro spun pitch. 5/11

Step 2: - Stretch the athletic tape long enough to fit all the way around the baseball. Tear tape in half. - Tape in straight line around ball in a 2 seam orientation. Use the dots from the first to guide you. 3/6
