One of my dogs is very old and doesn’t have good hips, but likes to lay on cool, smooth surfaces like tile or hardwood. Then when it’s time to get up, he gives out a little “woof” so I can help him up, and I give him a “1, 2, 3” every time even though he’s deaf and he smiles.
