@NightinGem
since the flash storage is no longer on the cartridge (3ds) and saves are now stored on the flash storage of the switch itself, this is literally just an artificial limitation. this game is deliberately programmed to disallow separate save instances for separate profiles.
Fun fact: The framerate of Mario's running animation in Mario 64 is the same as the video scrubbing rate in Windows 10, so it'll look like he's not moving when you scrub through the video!
I WAS INTERESTED IN HOW A PIXELART CHARACTER WOULD PLAY IN A 3D SPACE AND I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. this feels like the fake rabbit fortnite clone from the trailer of that military tactics game at tga, where it unironically looked better than the game parodying it
While the DS can't draw polygons as fast as the N64, its 512KB texture cache allows for much easier baking of key render 3D source model detail into flat textures.
The N64 only has a 4KB texture cache, so doing it on there at stable framerates would be incoherently blurry
Mirror's Edge looks the way it does because the environment lighting was ray-traced on CGI workstations and saved into the textures (Baked GI- Global Illumination). Sonic Unleashed was the first game released to do this, but regardless it was a revelation for 2008
First Person gamers: What are your favorite hallways or corridors of all time in games? Those interstitial moments between set pieces. For me it's easily (like every darn one) in Mirror's Edge.
If you can, Drink water. Stretch a little. Unclench your teeth. Breathe. While things aren't linear and don't improve every day, they will get better for you.
This is also the guy who liked a post on here the other week saying that autistic people should be sterilized in order to curb LGBT+ rights.
There's not a doubt in my mind that he's openly a fascist now in all but name.
still thinking this dolphin error report for sonic and the secret rings by someone who hadn't played it before. "sonic was constantly running forward making the game unplayable"
people pointing at any major game that launches with a bunch of glitches and poor optimization and going "this is the NEW Sonic 06" and like, no, I'm sorry, a game with the ability to still be patched simply cannot hold that title
that era has passed
Use mGBA.
The Emulator Zone has been full of outdated information since around 2012. Go to GameTechWiki instead; all the information you want and more is there!!
timely reminder that the Mother 3 fan translation is very easy to get your hands on and play and pretty much any device can run visualboy advance to emulate it easily you don't have to wait for all eternity for Nintendo to make you pay for it 👍👍👍

use a reputable paid VPN with a killswitch if you want to do tors. without one copyright trolls will get your ISP to threaten to blacklist you. direct downloads are fine otherwise
god, gamers straight up do Not understand what preservation means. limited approval lists of re-releases with always online drm (to some extent) that will be delisted someday (360 games on one and series) are not "preservation".
The PS1 not having an FPU for float values (resulting in jittering from objects only being able to move at fixed integer positions) and the GPU not having perspective-correct texturing or a Z-buffer for proper depth testing aren't errors.
They were cost-saving measures in '94
Sorry, but the PSX had a hardware bug that made textures wobble, all three consoles had abysmal load times, and on PC you can emulate them pixel perfect with enhanced resolution, more fps, faster loading times and even original controllers.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is an open-world adventure that, based on the trailer, is very much in the style of Animal Crossing.
"Welcome to Big Adventures Park! Join your new friends in a gorgeous world with adorable creatures, delicious food, and many mysteries to explore."
Driveclub and Forza Horizon 2 are the stuff of nightmares when it comes to playing them ideally. Both are delisted alongside all their DLC.
FH2's DLCs are unobtainable to anyone who didn't buy them while they were listed, and the game is exclusive to an unexploited platform
Everytime a game is delisted/disconnected, someone replies "buy physical."
When a game is delisted, physical owners don't have access a digital owner doesn't.
When a game is disconnected, physical owners don't have access a digital owner doesn't.
They're not a solution.
@jessiegender
Jessie, all of these things are the problem. The right-wing political figures you mentioned do not just exist in a vacuum; they feed back into the bigotry and fascism they popularize.

it's a boss arena. you enter through the KFC, then once you defeat the staff in all 3 restaurants, you leave through the building in the back
The key to this is texture filtering, vertex lighting for objects, lightmaps done with radiosity for the environments, and projection shadows (for a GameCube/Xbox/Wii look, add a few pixel shader effects like normal mapping, or displacement mapping on liquid like Mario Galaxy)
In the code of Super Mario Strikers, the unlockable robotic Super Team has a cryptic comment calling them the "only thing mattering right now". What this might mean is unknown.
I wish remasters in film and gaming would start being treated as shrines to the source material made to be experienced by new generations for decades to come, rather than experimental testbeds for "enhancements".
Especially for a $60 product in this case.
THE car wash that makes your car dirty
(I think something about this game's D3D8 implementation, or modern Windows changing D3D8 draw behavior in some way since 2005, bugs out the way the dirt layer is drawn)
its like literally impossible to not hear pingas over anything else in this clip. not even editing it to flow more naturally helps. pingas is inevitable.
@princessxemnas
wasn't the director of amphibia or the tangled show the one who banded together with her crew members in summer 2019 to blacklist a teen from the animation industry, because the teen complained about pedos in said industry?
Peak capitalism
They're not even gonna bother with giving them away for PR or RECYCLING THE FUCKIN' MATERIALS. Numbers going up is all that matters to corporations, and it doesn't matter how much waste or pollution is created in the process. It really is that shallow.
Funko is sending at least $30 million worth of its products to a landfill because it has so much idle stock sitting in warehouses that it's financially the best option.
Apple absolutely killed it. Insane hardware and software advancements across the board, at super competitive pricing. Not sure PC hardware manufacturers will recover from this.
(From PCGW)
An official AAA rerelease with an unofficially cracked executable is beyond parody... What was Sega's Australia and New Zealand division smoking in 2009
@Koutanya_
this just further cements the "diorama" aesthetic this game goes for. most of the stages (except for snowman's land, bob omb battlefield, big boo's haunt and and shifting sand land) feel like they're just haphazardly assembled out of various craft materials
remember when the cops decided to use a usps employee's van in the middle of a traffic jam as a barricade during a shootout with a robber, killing the usps employee in the crossfire?
What an absolute trainwreck of a port. Straight-up no lightmapping or object lighting at all so everything's completely unlit, and all the transparency is broken. The hell was Capcom smoking in 2007?
