Observers are watching a possible rift within the Pakistani establishment with spy agency ISI wanting Kashmir-focused groups to survive the crackdown and the army and political leadership taking an opposing line, given the devastating financial future the country is facing.
Indian troops again pulled a stunt at border. They always think China will make concessions to provocative actions in consideration of overall situation. Don't misjudge the situation anymore. If there is a conflict in Pangong Lake, it will only end in new defeat of Indian army.

हो तिमिर कितना भी गहरा;
हो रोशनी पर लाख पहरा;
सूर्य को उगना पड़ेगा,
फूल को खिलना पड़ेगा।
हो समय कितना भी भारी;
हमने ना उम्मीद हारी;
दर्द को झुकना पड़ेगा;
रंज को रुकना पड़ेगा।
सब थके हैं, सब अकेले;
लेकिन फिर आएंगे मेले;
साथ ही लड़ना पड़ेगा;
साथ ही चलना पड़ेगा।

Indian civilization has always had 2 strands: one that views the country in civilizational terms as a big tent & other that has sought to rebuild the country as one nation/culture/language / The struggle between these two imaginings of India continues into the current day 👇
It is sad that some in
#India
, the world’s largest democracy, believe that an alternative point of view should not be heard. Chatham House Rules were invented for frank discussions. Look up the concept on google. 🤔2/2

This is what
#India
& Indians should be focused on: how we are being wooed by countries around the world . Economic power is critical & without it no country can hope to achieve anything on any other battlefront. Knee jerk jingoism serves no purpose, strategic foresight does 👇
As we get ready to receive EAM

Attention spans are shrinking. And it feels like there's fewer and fewer incentives to sink large amounts of time and energy into long-form writing.
We also need to ask the critical Q: Why do we persist in viewing
#InternationalRelations
from point of view of emotion & sentiment? Countries take decisions based on their national & strategic interests 🤔

Army's pervasive intention to rule by proxy. In 2019, replace Gen. Beg by Bajwa; IJI by PTI; Benazir Bhutto by Nawaz Sharif; and link repetition of history in 2018 Pakistani general election. Only this time PTI — unlike IJI — was successful.
Since 1947,

leaders have made similar remarks since 1948. The region and world have prospered & are more connected. Unfortunately, by focusing solely on
#Kashmir
, Pakistan’s people have suffered, economy is in crisis & it is more isolated globally! 🧐
Actually, bigger question to ponder on: How thin skinned are we? If we want to be treated as a regional & globla player we need to learn to take criticism 🤔
Just to put it in perspective: Would the US Embassy expose Pompeo to, say, trenchant Indian critics of US policy in Afghanistan/Iraq/Pakistan? I would say not. And US officials do plenty of dictating as we know.
