The dumbest thing in wrestling has to be “true second”. I come from an era where second meant you lost in the finals and went home. Now tournaments torture you into competing after losing an important match against a kid who just won a less important match.

When I was younger I was sponsored by @AdidasWrestling I went to Russia with a few new pairs of shoes to compete. One of their athletes needed a pair and asked if I would give him a pair. 2 years later he beat me at the worlds wearing my shoes. Life is amazing

To level out the playing field the NCAA should standardize coaches salaries, educational and living costs, put limits on facilities like sqf of mat space and limit how many ranked wrestlers a school can offer scholarships to. This should help the coaches who don’t want to work.

I was suspended from Texas USAW for being a whistleblower, they released my athletes to compete at Fargo for another state. We have camp in Vermont and I helped them start their charter and for the first time ever in Fargo all 50 states were represented. Doing good prevails!!

In my six years of coaching I trained athletes for 5 US Opens and 6 team trials. These athletes combined for 5 US Open finals with 3 of them winning and 7 team trial finals with 3 winning. I knew nothing when I started but am forever thankful in their faith in me to lead them.
