Allowing a nation that has taken hostile actions toward a portion of Somalia to engage in peacekeeping elsewhere in Somalia would not only be unacceptable but would also directly conflict with Somalia’s national security priorities and long-term stability.
Surprised to see Ethiopia raising concerns over Somalia receiving arms to defend its sovereignty and combat terror. Meanwhile, Ethiopia continues to supply weapons to subnational groups in Somalia that directly undermine Somalia’s stability and sovereignty.

It’s ironic that Ethiopia questions Somalia’s right to obtain arms for defense, while simultaneously arming subnational groups that pose a direct threat to Somalia's sovereignty. Real peace comes from cooperation, not contradiction.

The illegal arms shipments coming from Ethiopia into Somali regions are a grave violation of Somalia’s sovereignty. These acts are clearly intended to fuel instability and undermine our nation's security.

Skeptics need to trust in the people's right to vote and the sanctity of the ballot box. We've endured indirect elections for too long. Somalia must progress, and though it's not easy, President HSM is taking on the challenge, just as he did when he created our federal system.
With the approval of the Election Law, Election Commission Law and the Law on Political Parties, the government reaffirms its pledge to return power to the Somali people. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to democratic governance and fair elections.
Somalia is on the path to security, economic, social, and political development. The recent approval of key election laws by the Cabinet of Ministers is a testament to the government's efforts to uphold democracy and empower the Somali people. Join us in this journey.
The AUPSC’s approval to transition from ATMIS to AUSSOM is a step forward for Somalia. We are grateful to Djibouti and Egypt for their willingness to contribute to the new mission. Somalia values the sacrifices made the TCC to support Somali people.
